One Sunday the kids were all rolling around in blankets playing worms. It was hysterical and entertained the entire family for quite some time. HAHA! |

Our awesome med school friends from here in Delray and from Miami--Brent and Janessa and Jeff and Diana---got together one weekend in February. Since we are all 4th years the amount of time our hubby's have actually been around this year was about zero, and the amount of time they've been home at the same time as each other is also zero. So we seized the weekend as possibly our last before the end of med school and partied hard. We had brisket made by Jeff (which was divinity) and ate a picnic outside while my kids pretty much ran wild with everyone, and then we put our kids to bed and played board games until late. IT WAS AMAZING. We had so much fun! We're going to miss these peeps! |
We've been meaning to go to the Green Market in Delray since we moved in. It is a farmer's market they do every Saturday during the winter months. It was incredible--there was SOOO many cool foods there! The only thing we bought were mangoes. We could smell them as we walked past--and you just can't resist mangoes that smell that delicious. I have never bought mangoes from a store like you can get from markets in Florida. Amazing.

More of the Green Market. These pics are in crazy order. These cheese samples were so, so good. |

That same weekend we also made it to the temple! When Sterling has a free Friday night and Saturday, we definitely take FULL advantage! |

That same weekend our ward had a Valentine's Dance. This is Molly and her best friend Gwen. |
That same weekend we ate at Steak 'n Shake. We haven't eaten out as a family for a really, really long time. I mean, Russ is hard enough at home, why would we take him anywhere, right? But we had been at the temple, we knew we were headed to the dance, we had a million things coming up for the rest of the weekend because our friends were coming over the next day and...a million things. ANYWAY I was craving burgers and Sterling said he had passed this sign that kids ate free. So we stopped in. I don't know if it's just that I haven't had a burger in so long or what, but it was AMAZING and our kids were SO GOOD. Sterling and I kept looking at each other like "Is this real life?" I could have memorized every single moment and I've already forgotten, which is so sad. The kids kept saying hilarious things and we were all laughing. Russ was making cheese faces and eating fries without throwing them. The baby slept the entire time. The kids were chatting away about some imaginary story they were cooking up. It was absolutely, absolutely magical. I almost felt like we should get in a car crash or something afterwards on our way to the church dance because that's how it works in movies, right?!?!?! HAHA. But it was such a wonderful breather. That entire weekend. Sterling has been so so nonexistent and when he had time off he had some major papers and other things he was studying. But this weekend we took completely off of med school. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And it was sooo magical. Okay---Sterling and I had our moments of struggling actually being around each other, ha, just so I can keep it real here. We're not used to running a household together. But we had so many moments that were so awesome. I am so thankful for that weekend!
