He wanted blue icing. I offered to make a captain America shield, but he only wanted blue icing and the toy on top! |
SIX! |
Will is in Kindergarten, he loves Captain America (Batman second) and sharks and blue (with red currying favor lately) and lots of dragon and dinosaurs. His favorite part of school is writing. He loves soccer because he is such a good kicker (his words, but he really is ha ha). He is starting to read and write and he REALLY loves his little Beanie Boo stuffed animals and they play a part in all of his games and imaginings. Currently he is reconstructing a Pringle container to be a home for his owl. Good times.
Will is also super strong--he can scooter and ride his bike incredibly fast to and from school. He is getting to be quite good at jump roping because Ruth is obsessed. He is the GREATEST helper with baby Grace--he likes to help change diapers and pick out her outfits and hold her and rock her. He is a great laundry-folder because he does it better than anyone in our whole family! He also gives incredible hugs and likes to cuddle while we read books.
LEGOS! He loves loves loves legos. |

The Biggest Bear and Andy and the Lion are his new favorite books. These hit his age-range perfectly! |
His birthday was on a Saturday so we got to go to Home Depot in the morning and make the craft, which is one of his favorite things, and then we went to a Manatee Festival in the afternoon. It was beautiful and we had a great time!
We saw a LOT of manatees. They call it Manatee Lagoon because there is a power plant right there that puts off warm water, and because of that the manatees all congregate there in the winter time when the ocean gets a little colder. We want to go back now because we only saw them for a few minutes before they closed, but it was really, really awesome.
I think it's safe to say that we had a perfect birthday Saturday. And we are so, so happy that Will is a part of our family. He is smart and good and the best 6 year old boy around!
