Florida Getaway!!

Unfortunately, due to COVID, our best-laid plans (along with the rest of the worlds) went awry. Sterling had two weeks off and had planned on flying to Utah, spending time with all the family's and then flying home with us--helping my on the airplane. His hospital was going to let it happen, but his residency program is under the University of Miami...and they wouldn't let him leave the state without two week quarantines in both directions. Obviously, he only had two weeks off, not six. Sooooo he couldn't come. ARGH. But in a fun turn of events-I, under no such restrictions and with the help of some awesome, awesome family, flew out to be with him for a couple of days. They literally watched our kids for five days --two of travel and three of me being there. And we didn't waste it--I had been wanting to paddle board on the intracoastal EVER SINCE WE MOVED TO DELRAY AND WE FINALLY DID! And it was epic. And awesome. And I only fell in a couple of times (it was really choppy, they actually tried to convince us not to and I said-we can do it-but my sore arms the next day were a little more unsure. haha).

Doc's is a cash only little diner in downtown Delray along the Atlantic Ave strip. It's our fav.

An evening ocean stroll.

Due to COVID, Kourtney's little brother went home from Africa, and then sent back to Ft Lauderdale, into our stake! So we stopped by with dinner one night.

Of course, we could've used weeks and weeks alone together (isn't that always how it feels?) but it was grand. We had such a fabulous time, enjoyed ourselves immensely, and I am just so, so grateful for our babysitters. And grateful we could take advantage of at least some of his time off!
