Ball/Haws Family Cabin Trip (July 26-29)

THE CABIN! I love going to the cabin! This year Russ was tricky. Let's be honest, he was tricky the entire time we were in Utah. Trying to get him down for a nap while 50 kids tromped around everywhere we were, never on a regular schedule, and HE IS INTO EVERYTHING! Literally. So just more of the same while we were at the cabin. But we still have such a great time!

I don't know where Sterling's genes went on the morning routines--but the kids are ALL early risers like myself. We had a couple of HOURS every morning to ourselves, where we enjoyed hot chocolate (it got pretty chilly up there) and breakfast and games before everyone else woke up.

Baby Claire got a WHOLE lotta attention. Just like the excitement over Russell has never really worn off, the need to touch and be huddled around Claire was intense for my kids. Haha. But who can blame them--she's adorable!!!

Driving to the lake and teaching Will how to subtract, haha. Thanks Jaxon and Kaleb!

How many kids can you double buckle? haha!
The second day at the cabin we drove down and met up with more family at Pineview. It was such a beautiful day. It was HOT and the water felt SO good! Who doesn't love dirt and water?!?!
Uncle Reagan was so nice to play all day with the kids!

Ethan, Jaxon, Kaleb

That mountain view--heart eyes!

I love this pic so much of Grandma Cindy with Philip!

Russ was loving life!

Jaxon, Kaleb, Jenny, Ruthie, Bridget, Kai

Kai and Will played with these trucks forever!
Before we left the lake we did our now-traditional tie-dye shirts. It was awesome. They dyed SO well this year!

On our way home we saw a moose. It was SO CLOSE TO US!!
The next day Bridget and Cade came up and brought some canoes with them--it was such a great activity!!! There's a little pond by the cabin that we usually hike up to at least once during our stay. It was awesome to canoe around it this time.

Oh I love that boy!!!

The twins tried to convince Will to jump in with them, he was concerned about how murky it was.

Got undressed to put his feet in, haha!

Bridget was the hero and brought some awesome toys up with her!

Making tinfoil dinners!

Singing Grandpa Haws songs around the campfire. Cindy was super awesome and made some books this year so we all had the lyrics and can teach our kids the old family songs!

Grandma Cindy made bingo out of the family photos we had just taken--it was so cute!

Grandma Cindy also had an I Spy quilt that had 100 squares that are all different material, and cards to match so you had to find the match you picked! Such a cool thing!
We had a really great time up at the cabin this year and we were so glad we got to spend that time with the Haws/Ball clan!
