Halloween

We had a great Halloween! We went trick-or-treating at the assisted living that Sterling used to work at with some friends in the afternoon and Ruth just LOVED it. Will slept in the carrier on my back the entire time, which was nice because then I could focus on teaching Ruth to say "trick-or-treat" and "thank you" to everyone. I thought it would be good to go indoors in the afternoon when Ruth was in a good mood just in case it got too cold for the trunk-or-treat that evening. All the old ladies and gents at the assisted living LOVED our little Minnie Mouse and she scored a ton of candy.

I must say, those two little ones are the CUTEST ever!

Later in the day we went to our ward carnival. Ruthie started dancing, and man oh man, you can't turn that off! When everyone left to do the trunk-or-treat she threw herself on the ground in a tantrum of despair. What? No more dancing? She was soon mollified by the fact that people were, again, handing her candy. Haha.

And then, since daddy missed all the excitement because he was at work (he switched shifts so we could go to the Imagine Dragons concert last Friday, which I really should tell all about because it was AH-MAZING!) we met up at Grandma Cindy's house so Sterling could take Ruth to a couple houses before Ruthie had to go to bed. I don't know who was more excited, Sterling or Ruthie, but in any case they had a marvelous time going to about 4 houses, haha.

I meant to rig a purple bow for Daisy Duck and a red bow tie for Donald. Oh well, next year. I had a great time watching Ruth enjoy this holiday for the first time. It's so much fun to watch her get old enough to understand (at least a bit) what's happening and to get all excited about it. She was spoiled rotten (don't worry, we've been brushing, brushing, brushing those teeth!) and I think she enjoyed every minute of it. What a great Halloween!

Those are way cute pics. Everyone is so cute. Fun that you could go to the Assisted living center. I am sure the patrons love it -- and love Ruthie.
