Mcconell's Mill hike PA

Kayli, being the awesome sister that she is, took us on a hike. We actually went on a little hike/walk around their woods in their backyard on Friday, and then we were so excited to get a little bit bigger one in on Monday morning! I think she said it was 6 miles round trip, but it was pretty flat---which was perfect for all the little kids we had! Also, we didn't make it the entire way. I think we were pretty close, but our kids were hitting burnout levels and we decided to enjoy rather than endure. Haha.

We probably could have done the entire hike if we hadn't used so much energy climbing every rock and tree along the path! But this is more fun anyway. :)

Everything was covered in moss--it was so pretty!

The entire trail was along this beautiful green river. It was so quiet and peaceful and gurgling sounding--just like Russ's noise machine HAHA.

At the mill.

They were SUCH great friends, and isn't this the CUTEST thing in your life?

We stopped to throw rocks at this nice tiny beach. The kids had a grand time and I nursed the baby.

Then Kayli was a crazy and climbed this tree out to the middle of the river. Good times.

Oh my goodness, she is the cutest little 3 yr old around!!!!
On the way back we revisited our fairy-along-the-trail stories and this trail was particularly awesome because the rocks and tree roots had lots of tiny little holes and crevices for fairies to live in. Will put leaf doors over all the holes he passed, because rock doors would be too heavy for the fairies to lift and they'd be stuck inside.

This guy was a champ.

Thanks Kayli for taking us! It was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was perfect and it gave us just a tiny glimpse of the gorgeous fall that we miss here in Florida every year. I want to go back right now!

I love the bridge and old mill looking building. What a fun hike, so different from here in Wyoming.
