July 7th-hike up Smithfield

This was one of my favorite hikes all summer. Some of my kids didn't love it quite as much because it had really really tall grass that went over their heads and it was annoying to walk through. But it was shady and beautiful and gorgeous and apparently Bear Country--and just removed from all the world. Next year I want to try it a bit earlier so that maybe we can see all the pretty wildflowers!

This summer hiking made possible by Ethne and Chad. Ethne is the baby WONDER because even when Grace was crying right in her ear for a really long time, she just kept holding her until she fell asleep. It was the sweetest most wonderful thing ever. Thanks for being a rockstar Ethne!

Grandma kept everyone's spirits up with lots of singing. Molly's favorite!

The water was freezing and these kiddos were so funny challenging each other to stay in the water as long as possible. Aunt Kayli may have been the biggest instigator haha.

Um, that picture of Hazel, you and Kayli making umm macho? faces is hilarious. Also, you really have the best of both worlds--FL all winter and UT all summer. Lucky!
