June 10-Hike up Logan Canyon

Temple Fork Sawmill Trail up Logan Canyon. Poor Ruthie got carsick and it stuck--so she was kind of miserable the entire time. But she still did awesome!

Our second full day in Utah we headed up on a hike-5 and half miles. I thought we'd stop halfway because my kids are SO not used to hiking. But the hike was pretty flat because we had driven so far up the canyon and between Ethne holding Grace and Chad and Garrett switching off Russ with me, we made it the entire way!

It was this breathtakingly beautiful the entire time. I couldn't get over it. Absolutely beautiful.

This kid could've hiked the entire thing but he was too thrilled with every single rock and wish-blower and stick that he saw. Plus, he kept turning and running in the opposite direction haha.

It was just an incredible day. I kept thinking "Breathe, Lindsay, breathe this in. This is the space and the dirt and the openness that you have been CRAVING for the past three months. This is it. And it is real. And it is PERFECT." Those kids in undies getting all dirty and wet? Thats what childhood should be.
Ruthie giving it two thumbs down as her motion-sick head ache was persisting AND THEN she was walking across a log and fell in. It was really cold. Poor thing.

The monument at the top talking about the temple sawmill. Also where a kind man noticed we were leaving two tiny girls behind (Molly and Navy) oops..

Ethne being the woman and carrying Gracie!

My social-distancing circle has significantly expanded. And I love it.

It was the perfect start to a perfect summer!
