It's official, Sterling took Step 1. He had to drive over two hours, stay at a hotel, take a test for 8 hours, and then drive three hours home because of severe thunderstorms. We didn't really see him at all that day. The next morning he had some meeting in Miami but when he came home Thursday afternoon--we were ready to party for a LONG weekend! The minute Ruth walked in the door from school (our bishop's wife picks up her daughter, and often substitute teaches at the elementary and so she drops off Ruthie on her way home, which is so awesome.) we headed straight for the beach!

We love daddy. And no, I did not edit these pictures, the water was that beautiful color all on its own. |

The last couple of times we've gone to the ocean the kids pretty much just play in the waves. Delray Beach has more waves than South Beach in Miami did and they love it. They just bob up with them and Molly laughs and laughs. |

This is our we're-so-happy-to-have-a-daddy jump! |

Grabbing Ruthie for our traditional run up and down the beach. It's my fav. |

Molly just LOVES the waves! |

I wanted Sterling to take these pics because look at the beach. Look really closely. Do you see how there is only one umbrella in the far distance? The beach was literally EMPTY!!!!! This never happens in Miami. I mean, you have people so close to you on either sides you can basically hear their conversations and definitely their music that they play. Delray, OH HOW I LOVE YOU! |
We then went home and had a slushie like we made for our back to school feast and it was extremely delightful. It was a glorious day and I ended it with cuddling on the couch with my man, so it could not have been better!
